Founding BA Goal Stars Kent

BA Goal Stars Kent was founded in December 2025 by Ben Apthorpe with a clear vision: to create a high-quality, welcoming football coaching programme for young children across Kent.

At just 18 years old and while studying for a degree in Sports Coaching at Canterbury Christ Church University, Ben drew upon over ten years of grassroots football experience and two years of coaching expertise to establish a business that prioritises fun, skill development, and confidence building in a safe environment.

What began as a passion project has quickly grown into a professional coaching programme dedicated to giving children aged 2–18 the best possible start in football.

Message From The Founder

I’m Ben Apthorpe, the founder of BA Goal Stars Kent. My journey in football spans over a decade of grassroots playing experience, during which I had the privilege of learning from and training under coaches from professional academies including Leyton Orient, Gillingham, and Charlton Athletic.

Now, while completing my degree in Sports Coaching at Canterbury Christ Church University, I am proud to bring my growing knowledge and passion to the next generation.

My goal is to create an environment where every child feels supported, enjoys their football, and develops both as a player and as an individual. I look forward to welcoming your child to BA Goal Stars Kent.
